Subject – Verb Agreement

It is very important that the verb agrees with the subject in a sentence.
a) if the subject in a sentence is singular, the verb must be singular.
Examples :
The boy is happy.
The boy has a bicycle.

b) If the subject in a sentence is plural, the verb must be plural
Examples :
The children are playing.
The children have new toys.
